Brian Miller (@TheMillerMath, mrmillermath.com, “the younger one”) and David Casey (“the older one”) both teach math at Analy High School in Sonoma County, CA. Utilizing their backgrounds in engineering, construction, music and art, the two have found a common passion in developing highly engaging lessons that require active participation from their students.
These origami lessons are designed with the teacher in mind. As Miller and Casey collaborated on various lessons, they realized that the geometry connections that they made while demonstrating origami techniques to their students were not always obvious to all teachers. These videos and worksheets are intended to provide those geometry connections for teachers to enhance their students’ understanding through the fun and engaging art of Origami!
